Project Horizon: The Ending

Hello All!

Project Horizon has ended--I posted the sixty-three-second wrap up on YouTube, and I have embedded it below.
It's been great sharing music & lyrics with you guys!  I hope to do some more releases before the next full album, so stay tuned!

Also, though I didn't mention this in the video, I've switched over to an informal tumblr blog titled "Sparks".  It will have a whole amalgam of stuff, including quotes, essays, lyrics, and random photos from the recording process.  Point your browser to http://t.karashae.com to check it out!

Until next time...to the mix!

An Open Letter [In Musical Form] Now Online!

Hey all!
I just uploaded a new song onto the Project Horizon music site.  I posted the lyrics to the song late last May.  You can listen to the song, read the lyrics, download an MP3 or FLAC on the project page.  Enjoy!

Don't Let Go (Lyrics)

Age never cured my thirsting for a stage,
and when the wisdom fails, I scribble on my sordid sonnets, scribing sorrows weightless as the page.

A cage of pettiness has robbed my holy rage.
I've lost will to fight for dying light, and now my sight no longer reaches past the age.

In each dread encore, the truth flees.  The lights are blurred.
You are, I am sure, in the wings with my cure.

"Love".  Our romance is a travesty declared.
Through all my wild and inconsistent tears, I've confirmed my idle fears.

Above all the things I've left of my share.
The worst is undermining what you mean to everyone who watches us
and envies not our fare.

I was meant for more than scratching out these metaphors.
You are, I am sure, in the wings with my cure.

Don't let go!  I need you.  Unaware
of the depths to which the dregs I drunk would drag me, I declared
that I didn't need You there.
All I've known is all that You've declared.
Would you laugh if I told you I needed You here?

The truth: We slowly pine from foolishness of youth
Divided, or just querulous?  Our vapid cries of “emptiness!” become uncouth.

Aware, we fail the faith because we do not care.
Oh, not enough to break our backs to serve a complex God of love and wrath
whom we cannot impair.

We were meant for more than cliché and metaphor.
Bring us, Lord, to shore.  Make us pure.

Don't let go!  We need you.  Unaware
of the depths to which the dregs we drunk would drag us, we declared
that we didn't need You there.
All we've known is all that You've declared
Could You come, could you strengthen us here?

Could You lift our eyes beyond our tears?

Carry me.  Carry me from fear.

North (Lyrics)

[Folks, my great apologies for the GREAT delay since the last post.  If you haven't seen it already, check out my video update from last week to hear what's been taking up my time lately!]

Low on gas and out of cash, a wilderness is all that I can see.
Dusty roads and musty codes from passers-by are all I have to lead.
Truth be told, the trails are cold from countless steps that I have never tread.
Strafing home, I'm so alone, despite the countless braver things I've said.
